目前不銹鋼管有兩種制造管子的方式：無縫鋼管（seamless）、焊接或是電阻焊接（electric resistance welding，ERW）。
無縫鋼(gang)管是用擠(ji)型或(huo)是輥式(shi)穿孔方式(shi)+冷軋或(huo)冷拔相結合制造。
焊接(jie)或電(dian)阻焊接(jie)管(guan)（Electric resistance welding）是將金屬(shu)片折彎成(cheng)管(guan)狀后，在(zai)(zai)邊(bian)緣部分焊接(jie)接(jie)合，因此在(zai)(zai)管(guan)的側面(mian)會有焊接(jie)縫。
