目前不銹鋼管有兩種制造管子的方式：無縫鋼管（seamless）、焊接或是電阻焊接（electric resistance welding，ERW）。
無(wu)縫(feng)鋼管是(shi)用擠(ji)型或(huo)是(shi)輥(gun)式(shi)(shi)穿孔方式(shi)(shi)+冷軋或(huo)冷拔相結合制造(zao)。
焊(han)接或電阻焊(han)接管（Electric resistance welding）是將金屬片折彎成管狀后，在邊緣(yuan)部(bu)分焊(han)接接合，因此在管的側面會有焊(han)接縫。
